Not to he a contrarian but this helps Avi’s case when you see every star stretched in the pick that the nuclear and coma are also being stretched here to favor a comet vs asteroid story

I’m not reading an article about space from a website that calls other star systems solar systems. It’s called the Solar System because objects in the system orbit the star Sol.
But if true, thumbs up Hubble team!

Isn’t it possible that the Oort cloud actually engulfs a gigantic portion of interstellar space that contains many of the stars close to our system, so that all periodic comets are really just captured comets from the cloud? But maybe if that were true we would see a lot more periodic comets with orbits that are highly eccentric from our system’s orbital plane…
