This new NeuroSpot AI is being tested to make coffee shops more efficient by tracking barista performance and predicting customer flow. On one hand, it sounds like a great way to reduce wait times and improve service. But it also raises big questions: how will this affect barista jobs in the long run? Will such systems become standard in cafes worldwide? Could this tech eventually move into restaurants or other retail spaces, changing how we experience service entirely? Curious to know what everyone thinks about the future of human interaction vs. AI in places like coffee shops.

As a former barista, and someone who enjoys cafe culture: Fuck everything about this.
AI isn’t a magic bullet for every goddamn aspect of life. You don’t need a robot to tell you how to optimize your work depending on business flows. It ain’t rocket science.
If I wanted machines to make the decisions about my coffee, I’d just get it from a machine.
