Hi everyone!
I’m posting this because I have a Political Science BA, and was originally going to go down the law school route (the LSAT is not my friend). I have always had an interest in space sciences and/or space policies. While American Military University (AMU/APUS) is considered “predatory”, they do offer a really interesting Space Studies degree, with either a concentration in Aerospace Science or Space Policy.
I’m making this post in the space group because you probably have a better understanding of possible well paying jobs with that degree, but also an understanding of how useful that degree is. I am interested in NGO DoD/DoD/other government jobs if that helps, but open to other options.
Thank you for all of the time you are taking to write a response! I appreciate you!

I don’t know much about space, but I know that “university” is a diploma mill. If you want to work in space policy, get a masters in public policy from a decent school.
Talk to a U.S. Space Force recruiter. Instant hands-on and they’ll even buy you an MS if you’re a good boy. Pay’s middlin’ and you’ll be part of a team that shares your focus.
Another route would be to go the paralegal route. Aerospace companies that do launches employ a decent sized legal team to handle things like negotiations, contracts, buying (buying takes on a whole new meaning when you’re talking about something like a $50 million friction stir welder), etc.
The current government/ government adjacent positions are getting bludgeoned by this admin. Lots of ex NASA, intel, state department folks looking for positions.
