    Need help with Stripe payments in Kosovo (I’m from Australia, living here now)


    Hi everyone,

    I’m originally from Australia, but I’m now living in Kosovo. I already receive some payments from X/Twitter monetization and also from clients who pay me through Stripe.

    The issue is that since Stripe doesn’t support Kosovo, I don’t have a proper payment gateway to get those funds here. Right now the money is there, but I can’t move it smoothly into my accounts in Kosovo.

    I’m looking for advice from anyone who has solved this:
    Is there a way to connect Stripe payments directly to Kosovo?

    Stripe is really important for me because most of my international clients ask for it. If anyone here has experience with this, I’d love to hear how you managed it.

    EDIT SOLUTION: Got a bunch of messages from kind people and looks like https://ibas.world (IBAS) is the way to go. It’s an app where you link your Stripe, move the funds with small fees, and then cash out from any ATM in Kosovo. From what I’ve seen so far, it actually looks like this will work for me.

      I ran into the same problem with Stripe here. The easiest fix I found is an app called IBAS. You just sign up, verify your account, and they give you a UK IBAN that works with Stripe. You can then transfer money back home or even use their card at ATMs.

      I have not tried it myself, but as far as I know you should be able to do it by connecting it with something like OneFor, which has a UK bank account from which you can then trasfer to a Kosovo account.

      The only payment service fintechs that operate in Kosovo are Paysera and OneFor (from what I know).
      I think your best options are to transfer funds to one of those two and then transfer from there to your Kosovo account or just use a Onefor card directly.

      Idk is this relevant but i have recieved payments from Austalia before, they sent the money to me through Wise to my Paysera account, it only took 2 minutes to get the funds.

      i had a 3€ fee for international transfer nothing else

      It doesn’t sound like your paying taxes in Kosovo. 

      Messed up that you’re not contributing to the country you are living in.
