The much crazier stat is that like 13/15 of the highest birth rates in the world including the top 8 are in Africa and probably keeps going I just stopped counting, and the top ones are huge rates lol, it’s mindboggling how fast they’re growing population wise

Nigeria will become China’s China. It’s on its way to becoming a great Nation, it probably just needs to cook for another 30-40 years.
The labor is there, the government and laws are… getting there. There’s lots of land. It just needs capital and better security.
If they are lucky, they will have enough time for the work force to bring the continent to current century. If not, they are going to be even more screw when corporations, robots and AI take over.
Population data in Sub-Saharan African countries are somewhat questionable because most of them haven’t conducted census like the Democratic Republic of Congo where its last census was in 1984, so there is a possibility that it is a little bit inflated.
They need economic increase more than they need population increase

This will cause immense problems when their fertility level inevitably drops.

Over the next 20 years, Africa’s population will increase by over 1 billion. I am in Egypt, the population is increasing around 1 million every 7 months. Africa will still be a young continent, while the rest of the world turns grey.
