That is awful.
Old lady falls and cuts her leg.
Daughter arrives with dog. At some point the dog licks the wound and the mother eventually died of infection.
I would’ve been surprised if the woman was a 35 year old woman, but reading she was 83 and in frail health most likely means that a fall like that, regardless of a dog lick, could’ve ended the same way.
Presumably they didn’t feel inclined to treat the infection. The story, which is definitely not made up by AI, doesn’t say.
Id of thought anyone with any sort immune system would be fine after a dog licking a cut.
An older person with health issues i can understand a cut being lethal….im unsure the dog would do that, unless it had just eaten raw meat.
