  1. About time people start thinking about population decline.

Next 20 years the population will plummet.

  2. Yeah, the fact that over half of owner-occupied houses have at least 2 spare bedrooms seems like the more important part here.

It’s rather like having a bunch of obese people and a bunch of starving people in the same room and declaring that on average everyone is healthy.

  3. So houses will get cheaper for the average earners. Right? Or just easier for landlords to buy up at extortionate rent costs?

Another issue not spoken about enough in relation to housing is the growth of 1 person households. That alone is putting a strain on the market. I live alone so I’m not helping matters, but just being realistic. More young people are living alone and as the population gets older on average, there are more widows living alone too.

  5. This problem is repeating itself since 2005. It is not new at all.

At a los of immigrants and the idea that rich Qataries own multiple empty buildings at the center of London.

  6. Its good, but there’s lot of old single, or indeed younger singles in some cases, living alone in 2,3 sometimes 4 bedroom houses.
