A good example of suicidal empathy.
Regardless, it’s excruciating seeing such a kind woman leave this world in such a gruesome way (smashed to death by a mallet, jesus…), not to mention the 3 children that’ll be left behind. Can’t imagine the pain the children and their relatives are going through.
People like this are why we can’t have nice things.

I’ve always thought “be kind and help” if you can….
An old friend turned up in my life after 20 years, started stealing money from me and then tried to destroy my other friendships.
I’ve not been as kind or friendly ever since.
There’s some bad people out there.
Another reason to never interact with them. They are on the street for a reason.
This woman was clearly very kind and very well intentioned and I’m desperately sad to hear what happened to her.
It is true that many long term homeless have significant mental health issues. It is also true that many have homelessness thrust upon them despite being otherwise ‘normal’ people. I have experienced it myself and if you haven’t, you may be surprised at how quickly it happens and how soon you can lose everything.
Those who would use this atrocious occurrence to comfortably ‘other’ homeless people as being nothing like them, as seen at points in this thread and elsewhere on Reddit do not mean well.
First, RIP to the lady with a golden heart. Naive in some sense maybe, but a good and decent person.
Second, shame on everyone who takes this 1 situation and labels aaaaaaall homeless (or even close as some claim, but you know that you really mean all) as dangerous, physcotic, drug infused killers who shouldn’t even be talked to. All of you are one bad situation away from homelessness yourselves, ever heard that? Wasting my breath on reddit, the real world is different. Shame on you.

I used to be a volunteer for a well known homeless charity and it was drummed into us. That you don’t give your personal details out to guests or invite them home. About one person a year did it and reported to the charity major problems.
Poor lady. Sometimes you can’t do right from wrong but perfect angels will say what you should have done. And of course they know best.
Classic Toxic Empathy…
People like her want to help the world through love and kindness, which would be great, but this kindness is then taken advantage of by the selfish.
Happening all over Europe at the moment it seems.
