That doesn’t seem legal. NASA was created under US law. NASA is referred to as a civilian agency under US law, focused on peaceful applications. It would take an act of Congress to change NASA’s objectives.

One of the traits of fascism is increasing surveillance and security in nefarious ways and using organisations for the benefit of the leader.
How is gutting an agency that’s responsible for some of America’s (and humanity’s) greatest achievements going to make America great? I’m sure those scientists and engineers will work well with military and intelligence officials looking over their shoulders.
So will they get a military-sized budget now so they can go back to work?
It sure is a shame that with all these various intelligence agencies they’ve not got two brain cells to rub together to share amongst the entire lot.
