    1. If the park has an entrance fee or enough funding from, say, carparks then it could pay for itself and maybe make *more* money in increased usage of the park as a whole. I wish it well.

    2. >The toilets were reopened last month and have since been staffed with two full-time employees – a toilet attendant to keep them clean and secure for the “safety of the public and staff”.

Tell me your council is rich without telling me your council is rich!

If the feral scum were allowed to be punished we wouldn’t need to waste all our tax money on stuff like this. Also bet the council is doing some dodgy deal and getting charged 80k/year for this toilet policeman, its what our service charge company pay them.

It’s so damning for our nation that it’s come to this. When I was in holiday in Japan recently I was so impressed by how much everyone cares about their public spaces. When’s the last time you saw vending machines on the street in the UK? You don’t, because they get the shit kicked out of them or vandalised. Our public toilets are disgusting. The graffiti problems at train stations get worse daily. I was on a bus recently and I saw a park bench being cleaned because someone had sprayed “shit hole” on it, seemingly unaware of the irony that they were contributing to how the city was becoming a shit hole due to actions like theirs. I work for a company that does installations in shopping centres, and everything gets vandalised, pissed on, set of fire.

Honestly, it’s fucking depressing how little we care about where we live now. You can argue anything you want about the current Government, but it doesn’t matter who is in charge – we’ll only have nice things if we look after them, and so far we’ve proven we can’t.
