  1. So many large companies operate solely on investment enough to carry them for hundreds of years without ever making a profit.

Strangely, they always later collapse when investors want to see some money coming back, or stop bankrolling them.

  2. I think Zuckerberg is still banking on us eventually entering a ready player one situation in which he will have a massive lead on others thanks to his investments in AI and VR.

  3. As someone who was lucky enough to get gifted a headset for secret Santa (meant to be $50 limit too 😂). I’ve got to say, I get their vision. It’s a brilliant experience and interacting with others is incredibly natural. It’s certainly going to become more mainstream as the technology continues to get better and cheaper.

  4. The sooner Zuck admits they’re a social media platform the sooner he can stop throwing hundreds of billions away to only realize they only sell ads

  5. I have one of the oldest mainstream headsets. But when Facebook bought Oculus I immediately knew and said that VR died that very moment.

If VR ever gets anywhere, Meta won’t be the reason.

  6. they need to make it so that’s it becomes like a glasses. it’s too big atm. i really wouldn’t care about shorter battery life. 2hrs most.

i would love to have this ar/vr glasses on like a regular glasses and go on a walk or just watch something while i’m doing workout or something
