Stadt Zürich have announced plans for a large scale remodeling of the area around Zürich HB.

These include increasing the amount of green space, moving traffic away from the area and relocating certain public transport stops. Löwenstrasse would be fully pedestrianised.

Sounds like a great thing, the area is a little run down on both sides of the HB. Traffic needs to get out of city centres.

That’s fantastic, the current situation is so chaotic. It’s also great that they’re moving central to create a new stop on the bridge, the current tram stop is such a mess.

I do love how zurchers always think of themselves as the center of the universe though lol “Der Hauptbahnhof Zürich ist trotzdem weiter die zentrale ÖV-Drehscheibe der Schweizl

I wished the pedestrianisation of the areas around the HB is a project carried out everywhere in the country, I know Geneva has the same plans for when its new underground station is completed, Luzern would be another great candidate with its spectacular setting
