Good evening everyone! I just moved to Switzerland and purchased a WiFi subscription through galaxus. They were very fast in sending me the router and they even activated the subscription before my selected date, but now I have an issue with the actual connection of the router. I have this one (https://helpcenter.abos.galaxus.ch/hc/it/articles/25537290519826-Installazione-Galaxus-Connect-Box-3) and the provided cables are the one you can see on that page; my wall has the sockets you can see in the picture. I have no idea what to do, and the landlord isn’t of any help…I suspect the right one is behind the square “cablecom” thing, but the text says I shouldn’t remove it (I don’t even know how to do it), so I’m a bit clueless. Any help?

Call the number on the cablecom cover, it is sealed
It looks like the cable TV convection was sealed in order to get out of paying the associated monthly base fee.
More info here:

Not sure how exactly to proceed to unseal it, but the successor company of cablecom is UPC which has become part of Sunrise (by now).
Also, Cablex doesent exist anymore. surise bought it & you’d need to call sunrise about it.
The “Dose” on the Left is a TT83 Plug. Swisscom offers an adapter wich is TT83 to RJ45
RJ45 Is ethernet. Otherwise i’d recomend calling swisscom & get connected to the wireline spez abteilung. I worked @ swisscom & used their products ever since. I know itßs the most expensive but it’s the best one aswell. They might tell you if you get their cable wich will be way faster. 0800800800 2 call swisscom
The thing is you didn’t get „WiFi“ you actually got cable internet (over the TV socket). Your socket is sealed. Maybe it would be better for you to get DSL (via phone socket on the left). But better check the possible speed before even thinking of it.
