"Homesickness of a Glarner in America" is a poem composed just after the turn of the 20th century by a Swiss man named Jakob Baumgartner – my great great grandfather.
He was living in Wisconsin at the time of publishing – translated from German "Homesickness of a Glarner in America".

That’s cool! The sernthal is probably what we call sernftal. My great grandmother was also from there so we might be very distant relatives!
