Personal experience with Dentaes – pictures before and after, warning and advice for other patients

I went with straight teeth, and I ended up with distorted teeth and serious complications. Read before you trust your health!

I went to Dentaes a few months ago due to an improper bite, in order to aesthetically improve my smile. I decided on Damon System because of most advantages including less frequent controls (2–3 months), as I am most of the time outside of Macedonia. I chose Dentaes as specializing in that system, and because Dr. Elena is the only Damon system educator in Macedonia – I thought I was in the right place. I had high expectations that were not fulfilled, unfortunately.

The prosthesis was appointed by Gligor Angjelkoski, who is being held on their website as a “orthodontic doctor”, and to my knowledge is a general dentist with additionally visited Damon System courses. In practice it meant that my treatment was conducted by a doctor of general dentistry who, as far as I know, has no official completed orthodontics specialization and is not an orthodontist certified, which I found out a little later. After placing the prosthesis, the teeth began to move wrong than expected. For only a month, it became much worse, my teeth were abruptly flown and distorted and a whole smile changed, and the doctor’s response was “it can always be worse before it was better” that it created a no-confidence in my treatment. I felt desperately and stuck in a process that was just going worse. I didn’t have an appropriate response, so I asked for a second opinion. After consulting more orthodontists in Macedonia and abroad, I received opinions that treatment was not properly conducted and that it was necessary. My treatment after only one month resulted in significantly flawed and distorted teeth, without proper explanation and taking responsibility from the doctor.

I asked for a transfer to Dr. Elena, hoping that I was in the hands of a professional and would solve my problem. Instead of fully stopping the brakes, I received partial corrections that did not correct the situation. It caused me a great deal of mistrust in the whole treatment.

The situation with my teeth, in my opinion, did not change for the better, and I developed serious mouth infections that I think were due to the prosthesis, and the doctor pointed to blood tests. I felt desperately and hopelessly in a process that did not work and I wanted to stop it. When I asked for a fixed removal. Moreover. The more striking bracetting has lost my full confidence in the process and the desire to continue it. After long convictions it took out my prosthesis.

After removing the fixed I had severe pain, loose and sensitive teeth, which lasts today. My bone resorption was later established, which I believe is the result of excessive forces at the beginning of treatment.

I went to the day to improve the smile – and I went out with serious physical and mental consequences.

I advise you to carefully check your doctors’ qualifications and look for a second opinion before starting treatment in order to avoid lasting consequences for your health.

Summarized – lost time, money, nerves, health and long -term consequences. ️ Pause in whose hands you put your health!

This is my personal experience and view, in order to share how I went through treatment and encourage caution when choosing a doctor.
