    1. Super cringe, our traditions and mindset are incomerhensible for most western rightoids and we don’t like them here. They bring forgein problems we are not part of.

    2. Americans probably have similar, idealised view of Poland, just like Poles have idealised view on America. Both see each other as an idealised, promised land of the freedom and patriotism. Both are wrong in unique, but equally funny ways

    3. They idolize made up European/polish conservatism (which is just their beliefs about what society should look like) because they don’t know how life in Poland actually is.

Like that person most likely wants a semi-theocratic, mono-ethnic, no-lgbtq, no-feminism state. Because that’s the stuff they praise Poland for.

      Just Nazi-adjacent stuff, nothing new.

    4. I think it is hilarious. I told this to a polish woman saying how the conservatives look for trad wives in Slavic women. She said ” Fine you want a trad wife, you need to be a trad husband. You will work, come home and hand me your paycheck, because I am the wife. You want to go out with your buddies, no you have to fix broken things in the house. Trad husband fixes broken things in the house. Repair workers are for fools. Sunday is your day off. So we go to church and you will spend the day working in the garden, having time with children. Men who can’t grow food are not real men, and men who fo not spend time with their kids are not real men. Then on Monday you go back to work”

    5. Hear me out, russia is pulling million of the dollars to shift poland perception. Year ago there was tonns of pro-russian bots in few social networks. Now they dissapear, but suddenly there are the same amount of radical polish comments.

    6. American Republicans would get an aneurysm if they knew the extent of social in Poland. They’ll gash about how much Christianity, but ignore all the safety nets, healthcare, and probably most importantly, high quality public (and free) education.

    7. not really, religion is going down, traditions is goong down, open borders for belarus, ukraine, georgia, south africa, argentina, columbia etc, we are trying our best but we are not ideal

    8. As a Czech, I generally have a good opinion about Poles, worked with them, I’m friends with them. Im not Polish but I find this shit cringe as fuck, most people that hold these opinions take their politics and world information from fkin YouTube shorts.

Funniest part about this is, how it’s often Polish nationalist further pushing this narrative how Poland is some European wonderland. While picking tulips in Netherlands, working in construction in Germany or manufacturing in Czechia.

It’s like the proud Turks….in Germany.

Poland is a beautiful country, it might not be facing “Islam problems” like Germany, but it’s lgenerally facing the same issues as every country bordering it.

If you moved to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria etc. It’s pretty safe to assume your life wouldn’t differ too much..Germany had shit holes so does Poland, Czechia and everyone.

      “Western European countries.
. Poland doesn’t have mass immigration
      • Poland isn’t full of Muslims, Africans, immigrants of
      third world countries
      • Poland is against receiving Muslim refugees
      • Many Poles still hold Christian values”

Your last point completely contradicts the 3 points above it. You can’t be a Christian without welcoming the outsider.

    10. It’s really silly and they are not welcome here ☺️

Poland, as many other countries that used to be part of the eastern block is actually much more progressive in a lot of ways than western European countries. Women rights and education are the best examples of that. For example if you look at statistics about women in management positions, science and engineering we are far ahead of places like Germany, France or Finland. Traditionally in Germany kids go back home from school after noon because at home obviously there’s a mom with hot lunch. This was never the case in Poland, because both parents work.

Polish women are not a great material for a trad wife – Poles are in general very independent and individualistic, ambitious and I don’t know a single women who doesn’t want to have a career. In most families I know it’s usually the wife/mother who is the head of the house and actually makes decisions.

The only thing I can give them is the church – but this is purely historical and comes from the way church oriented itself during communist times. Neighbouring Czechs are one of the least religious nations in Europe, because in Czechia priests and church collaborated with the communist government. In Poland they were smart enough to align with the opposition, so their influence grew considerably after the fall of communism.

But a few more years of continuing the shit they are doing, and Poland is not going to be a religious place. You can see that already in the statistics of priest seminaries. In a generation church will be a struggling institution in Poland. Probably inviting priests to work from actually religious, Catholic countries like Gabon and Angola. American religiosity is very different than Polish one anyways, a Catholic person wouldn’t find megachurches and all the flavours of protestantism to be acceptable at all, while they all form one front in the US.

They imagine a trad white utopia, which is quite obviously incorrect.

When they talk about “religion, culture and civilisation”, they quite obviously mean “preachy”, “hateful” and “white”, but saying that out loud wouldn’t be so acceptable.

    12. They grossly overexaggerate the reality. We are indeed less “diverse” in the Western meaning of this word, but we aren’t the same country we were in the 90s or the early 00s. These days immigrants aren’t just from the former USSR and Vietnam, but also India, Bangladesh or even Latin America. Also, when compared to the 1990s, the percentage of people who are religious is noticeably lower. While (according to one of the polls) 84% of Poles state they do believe in God, the percentage of Catholics who attend the Mass weekly is only around 30%. And among those thirty percent, the people from the southeast are visibly overrepresented. In the least religious areas of the country it’s closer to 15%. Among young adults the percentage of people regularly attending religious ceremonies decreased from 69% in 1992 to just 23% in 2022. According to the 2021 census, Warsaw is only 51% Catholic (and in terms of religiosity, it’s mediocre at best)

An extreme form of cringe coupled with weird fetishism.

Unfortunately there are some bad characters amongst this particular crowd, ranging from weird Andrew Tate ( accused of human trafficking ) fans/sex tourists to some dangerous types like the Christchurch shooter, who visited Poland on his quest to find the great pure whiteness or whatever.

And they all get offended when they come to this reddit and get told to stay where they are because they are not the wanted type of migrant in Poland.

    14. Meanwhile over million Ukrainians, hundreds of thousands Belarusians and tens of thousands people form India, Vietnam and many other countries XD

    15. I don’t like it because it brings more of them here. Leave us alone and stay the fuck out.

It’s amazing how Western right-wing considers the current Polish government leftist and precisely at the same time views Poland as some kind of conservative heaven

    17. ProfessionalOwn9435 on

      Some corrections:

      – Poland absolutly have open borders inside UE and Shengen

      – In last 5 years there was big influx of Belarusan (maybe 1bn) and Ukrainians (2,5bn) But some came earlier. Like 10% Eastern migrants. There is also a collection of old migrants from around the world. Like commies from Vietnam and latin america.

      – From beyond EU it is possible to migrate legally, but as always there are some limits and burocracy.

      – It is often catholicism in name or declaration, sermon participacion is droping as usual.

      – which traditions? Which countries forget traditions? Arent all countries modernize with new tools but old spirit?

    18. They can go fuck themselves, we don’t wany them coming here, there’s enough conservative assholes here anyway

    19. It insults me. I think it’s no accident that they chose the country where millions of “undesirables” were murdered out by Nazi Germany for their supposed utopia.
