  1. Hopefully at some point it dawns on people that he is, beyond his reprehensible politics, just a fucking *dick*. And without Trump’s swagger.

  2. His mates are an orange paedo rapist and climate change deniers.
Why does he have a podium in the UK? Why are our news sites being allowed to get away with this?

Was this man also at Epstine island?

  3. Seems like a bit of an overreaction to be fair. He should be less emotional. Is it his time of the month?

  4. It’s going to be really interesting watching Reform deal with actual media scrutiny as the GE draws closer.

They’re getting airtime and page space at the moment because they drive clicks, at election time I’m fully convinced the media won’t want the status quo threatened and will fully turn on them once their less palatable policies are put in the public.

I’m willing to bet that they’ll collapse into infighting and backstabbing well before the election because they just don’t have the experience or intelligence as a group to deal with critical eyes on them.

There’s this idea that Farage is some cool calm political operator. Everytime he actually gets challenged on anything he loses his head hard. The problem is he rarely gets that from our media, they play into his hands if anything.

  6. Reform showing everyone what they stand for this week and not a blink from any of the Free Speech crowd.

Ban anyone but friendly journalists from attending events.

Have suited goons following the dear leader who will violently manhandle anyone trying to ask a question off-script.

And then lie repeatedly about it under oath, claiming actually you’re the most open minded group of people to ever exist and would never do anything to restrict the free speech of others.

  7. He he call them a “very nasty person” too?

Think we know who he’s been spending too much time around (instead of being in his constituency doing the job he was elected to do)

I think he had 9 jobs last time I checked, including one helping wealthy Brits get passports/citizenship in other countries

And people actually think he gives a toss about Britain

  8. TheOneTrueHonker on

And so it begins. ‘Nasty’ reporters et al. branded as such for doing their job and asking questions of politicians.

God help the country if he does become our Trump, the councils that are reform controlled should be a huge warning to us all to how well (or not) they’ll be able to run a country!

  9. Awfully suspicious of nigel I’m not a fascist farage to dodge questions regarding his taxes..

  10. Farage has clearly been observing how Trump gets away with lashing out at journalists and media personnel whenever they ask him unflattering questions (That they have an obligation to ask). Now Farage is trying that trick for himself. Why take accountability when you can just blast the media for daring to put you on the spot instead of stroking your ego.

Nigel, Nigel, Nigel stop being a dick, if these accusations are true then they should be published, if your actions were illegal, you should be prosecuted but for ‘optics’ sake, a slimy geezer like you shouldn’t be concerned about this sort of story, you’re clothes, false laugh, political views and previous jobs all say exactly what you are, don’t sweat it, embrace it.

Tax questions to Rayner and others are perfectly well and good, but don’t dare question him. How dare you! He has employed someone to make sure he gets away with paying as little tax as possible, it’s legal and everyone who can afford it, does it! He has a right to do it, to keep as much of his money, made by good and honest working class graft, as he can! Gawd bless Reform! The most working class party in history!

  13. White_Immigrant on

He’s such a sensitive little snowflake no wonder he wants a fascist state, it’s the only way he’ll ever be able to stop people saying things that hurt his feelings.

  14. Cyanopicacooki on

Just like his bestie Donald when anyone asks him a tricky question – although Trump says “nasty” as disgusting has 3 syllables, which is a bit much.

  15. He didn’t buy the house so he didn’t pay stamp duty. How is this so hard for people to understand?

If that’s tax evasion then I’d like everyone reading this to explain to me how you have the cheek to complain when you’re currently evading inheritance tax by not being dead.

Where have we heard literally all of this before recently?

‘When America coughs, the world gets the flu’.

In a few years, we’re going to be fucked over here as well.

  17. They say the best way to beat these people is to hold a mirror up to them, and watch their opinions melt as they contradict themselves.

***Reminder that Farage called for Jo Brand to be arrested in 2019 after she made a joke about him.***

Him fighting back and attacking people over it, means it’s something that needs to be pushed on him more and more. We need to continue asking him these questions that he clearly doesn’t want to answer.

    >[When Ms Rayner admitted earlier in the week that she had failed to pay her full amount, Mr Farage seized on the issue telling reporters: “I don’t see how Angela Rayner can survive this.”](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-tax-angela-rayner-richard-tice-b2821398.html)

Funny really; when Farage first said he bought the Clacton constituency home (which he now admits he ‘misspoke’) and went in on Rayner a few rumors started circulating that perhaps his avoidance scheme was not as clever as he first felt.

I think the statement that first got peoples spider sense tingling was that it was his girlfriends “sole*UK* asset”, leaving it open that she may own property abroad which would make her liable for the higher stamp duty as well. Its also possible that he gifted her the money, which seems a bit dodgy too.

The thing is, even if all those things are proven he’ll hang on. His defenders will defend him as ‘the man of the people’, using his wealth to avoid paying tax, whereas they’ll crap on Rayner who accidentally avoided tax and has offered to correct it.

  20. IlliterateNonsense on

Far be it from me to defend this degenerate grifter, he is actually right here in a way. The Mirror has directly insinuated that he has avoided tax in a similar way to Angela Rayner.

His girlfriend bought the house he lives in, which is why there was a lower amount of stamp duty paid. He has no legal interest or ownership in the property. The alternatives are to make it so that if anyone besides the owner lives there, the higher rate of SDLT has to be paid, or make it so that partners buying houses together (regardless of marital or legally recognised partnership) have to pay the higher rate if either of them has a house.

Marriage stops this because legally the marriage of two people can be considered as ‘one’ for various tax matters, such as the transfer of assets between spouses being free of taxation.

What Angela Rayner did is completely different, in that the rules of ownership were not understood (either deliberately or unintentionally) and therefore Angela Rayner did not pay the appropriate amount of stamp duty. From the taxman’s perspective, ignorance of the rules is not an excuse, and she has ultimately paid the price.

There are numerous reasons to hate this grifter, but they can stand on their own, without having to add this kind of gutter press misunderstanding of taxation.

  21. This is how facists behave when challenged on anything. This country is sleepwalking into a farage dictatorship.

He really does just want to be a British Trump… he’ll need to get a lot more orange to pull this off!
