    1. I tried to contact Eventbrite to notify their mail system, or a specific user was compromised. No reply.

      Ignore it. It’s a scam

    2. If it’s not .gov.cy domain 99.99% a scam (there are some quangos that have non gov.cy domains but you will know them if you expect emails from them)

Totally legit. Since all government agencies require you to scan a barcode instead of giving you a legit URL.

Scam. These guys target university domains as well, using different excuses. I got contacted once by the “dean of the university” claiming he wanted my whatsapp details to discuss ongoing research and getting my name published. Needless to say his email address didn’t use my uni’s domain.

I get emails from almost the same email about personal tax records and tfa declarations. It is probably a scam. Eventbrite is for events idk what it needs for tax. Asked my husband for confirmation and he said to ignore it

    7. Its a scam alright however the main issue is where do these scammers got your e-mail?

It’s not easy to do what i would suggest but i use Proton e-mail with alies e-mails for all different services and when i receive an e-mail from a scammer it become obvious who leaked that e-mail.
