She’s 49 and still has a mortgage in a dirt cheap area in Kettering. Im sorry but if you need to still have a mortgage at 49 from that generation they did something wrong. I have many family and friends on low wage sole income providing for a family from that generation who paid off their mortgages by late 30s early 40s. Either she is lieing or she managed her money wrong if she still hasn’t paidnthe mortgage off at that age
Edit: I guess im wrong, people who I know in their late 40s in my circle on low income have paid their mortgages off late 30s. They all must have magical powers I guess. Cause Kettering aint no London the average house price back in 2003 in Kettering was cheap as chips

That’s utter nonsense, there’s nothing easier than changing the fact you’re 49. Simply wait a year and boom, you’re 50!

Everyone’s struggling to find jobs. The older generations today will cry ageism whenever they have to face the same struggles that the youth are facing.

Her background seems a bit all over the place and she comes across as way over qualified to be honest – digital marketing is a young persons game and very competitive for relatively low pay (all the DMs I’ve worked with have been trust fund babies).
I’d imagine retouching jobs are dying off too with AI and more accessible tooling (I did it 20 years ago when just knowing your way around photoshop was enough to land you a job).
