    1. Russia called on Poland to reopen its border with Belarus – Moscow’s close ally – calling the border closure “destructive” and warning of consequences.

“We call on Warsaw to consider the consequences of these destructive steps and rethink its decision as soon as possible,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on September 11.

The border closure is being done “to justify the policy of further escalating tensions in Central Europe,” she added.

    2. We should do the same thing they do all the time, tell them that yeah we will open and then just don’t do it.

I’m just a passing Dutchman but I just want to say that if there’s one thing in this world that I get triggered by it’s Russia’s foreign policy by threat.

    4. Mam nadzieję, że Ukraina długo czekała na taką koncentrację wojsk i wykorzysta sytuację 😏

    5. Ahhhh so it was suppose to be a message. A ,,beforetaste” of refusing them. Damn, how blunt is Russian foreign policy

    6. At this point, I don’t even care what Russia’s gonna do. Enough is enough. We can’t let them intimidate us anymore.

    7. I would issue a statement that would kill them with kindness (bc we should do that in order for Trump to later not tell us it’s our fault the war started)…and then keep the border closed, anyway.

“We *so* appreciate the goodwill you’ve displayed and we wish you all the very best in your military exercises. Given the history of our *great* nations, and that the most recent incursions in our airspace came from Belarus, we hope you understand why we are still unable to grant you this very *reasonable* request.”

      🤣

EDIT:: Unrelated, but can anyone explain why Putin is starting shit with Poland instead of the non-NATO Baltics? I know he’s testing the West’s resolve, but his goal is to get back to the USSR…why not start with the countries that wouldn’t start shit with all of Europe?

EDIT 2:: Sorry, I’m an idiot. Let me change my question—any idea why Putin wants to start with Poland instead of starting with smaller Baltic countries?
      1. Moldova? Not in NATO! Presumably no one will care! (Or you know, not enough to stop him)
      2. Slovakia, for example (sorry, Slovakia)? A tasty little morsel and right next to Hungary…and Orban’s his pal, so he won’t take the nearby annexation personally.

3 Lithuania? Smaller, gives him expanded access to the Baltic?

Yes, I know I sound like a sales lady desperately trying to convince a war criminal to please start with someone else before r-ping me, but at this point, we still need as much time as we can get to prepare for war.

    8. Sure, the moment they retreat from Ukraine for good, giving back all the stolen land and returning all children and PoWs.

Why don’t we (European countries or US) tell Russia what to do the same direct and pretentious way Russia tells everyone what to do? Why don’t we give ultimatums to them?
