    But this “still the legitimate president” narrative is so silly and counterproductive, a children’s game at best. Salome *has* left office, she does not reside at Orbeliani anymore, she retains no legal powers whatsoever, and most importantly, there’s no one in Georgia who considers her to be the leader of anything , either politically or societally. She had her moment for glory and she brutally mismanaged it in the Nov/Dec protests last year, wasting potentially the last opportunity to save Georgia from its future of an oligarchic police state. Now she’s essentially a non-factor and a distraction, a status being rapidly achieved by most of the opposition

    I’d have called her a legitimate president of Georgia had she ever done anything to help the protests, she is static, only talks about some sort of platform since October last year, haven’t really seen her do anything else, just talks and preaches much like the rest of the opposition.
