Germany even manages to mess up train departures in Switzerland these days… impressive how Deutsche Bahn’s chaos can now cross borders and export its delays like a true German product. Imagine traveling abroad just to be greeted by the same chaos you thought you had escaped back home

    1. Well, the train is coming from Munich and it has stops in Switzerland…

I agree that DB has huge issues but you make it looks like a purely domestic train is affected by foreign problems.

They should finally do the same as they are already doing in Basel: Split the train at the border station. One set of trains runs the swiss part back and forth (on time), another part runs the german part of the line (and can have as much delay as it wants without negatively affecting the swiss rail network. Passageners switch trains at the border, super easy!

Ah yes, the EuroCity from München.

This train has a delay 9/10 when it crosses the border in St Margrethen on it’s way to St Gallen and Zürich.

It then usually needs to wait behind the IR13  and/or some S4/5 trains.

The the IC1/5 from St Gallen to the Airport.
