  1. “In normal times, evil would be fought by good. But in times like these, well, it should be fought by another kind of evil.”

    Chronicles of Riddick.

  2. Remember there’s an archive link in the automod so you don’t have to support the telegraph by clicking the link

  3. Tbf the daily fail hasn’t been news since… ever. It’s literally click bait headlines for boomers. I’m less convinced the fail contains any actual news than I am the dfs sale is going to end soon.

I intensely dislike the Daily Mail – both the clickbait online edition and the nasty right wing print edition.

But the idea that an American company should be dictating, using its massive power, what news the British public can see does seem deeply wrong.

  5. The Daily Mail was invited to the party, refused to go and now they are sad they aren’t being let in, diddums.

  6. >The main reason given was that Apple only wanted partners which would grow the pie

    Mmm… apple pie

  7. Good

I try to block the daily mail on my social media platforms but like a hydra they make so many that it’s hard to keep up.

I recently learned that the daily mail has an official user account on Reddit that posts their articles, had to block that too.

Ironically, I blocked the telegraph in the Apple News app before I blocked the daily mail. Absolute toilet.

  9. One of the only times where the tech giant comes out looking better in a story. Fuck the Daily Heil.

I’d have more respect for Apple, if they’d said that the DM was blocked as it was low quality and frequently unreliable. Imstead of saying that it would cannabilise feeds from other news partners.

  11. Deffo mid-late 90s. I remember the bloke in the chip shop showing it off dead proud when I was a kid

  12. Good.

If DailyMail didn’t exist. X back to being Twitter how it used to be from 2009 – 2015. No grifters of the right wing allowed.

    Decency and the truth allowed.

A billionaire like Murdoch exposing how little folks get on benefits and most are struggling mot living the high life of them. Have a billionaire on the left spectrum like the DailyMail every moment of the day spouting the truth about tax avoidance etc etc etc

We would have a healthier in every way society.

Instead we are sleepwalking into a privatised NHS. Combined with scapegoating those receiving welfare and the disabled.

I thoroughly disagree with the Daily Mail in general. But, to quote Ian Hislop: “You don’t ban it, you just don’t buy it.”

  14. If they’d do something about the over inflation of the Telegraph on there. I blocked it as a news source and you’d think that would get rid of it but instead it just shows me multiple greyed out boxes taking up the screen with CHANNEL BLOCKED BY USER. Hall of fame bad UI contender.

  15. The Mail has no journalistic integrity. It is not a news site, it is a website that sells advertising space while pretending to be a news site.

  16. It’s not banned here, despite several times of asking, including submissions linking the UN articles decrying them and the Express as dangerous.
