Eh ignore the hater, shoot for you not for others. I think they both turned out cool. You can write with a light and long exposures
How? 30 second exposure mode on my iPhone doesn’t make images nearly this good.

That is stunning. Seeing these photos the last few days has fully convinced me to get out to a dark sky and try myself.
I was so focused on the cool ribbon of light that I didn’t even see the awesome sky for way longer than I care to admit.
