This “one in one out” arrangement would be an effective deterrent if there wasn’t a cap on the numbers.
If every small boat crossing was sent back to France then they’d stop.
So I feel the principle is right but the cap means it will ultimately fail in stopping crossings.
Is there a clause where we can send them back again with no return deal if they enter a second time?
