Does anybody think that he’s being open and transparent about this? Honestly?

Security concerns? – They’d be better off camping at Heathrow and catching him on his way to Trump’s next gig than they would be stalking his supposed house in Clacton, probably haunted houses with more activity.

What was the joke about Tam Dalyell “Half the members opposite are not liars” – Nigel isn’t in that set, imo.

He seems to be saying it IS his house, but mistress name on deeds. Which sounds like tax evasion to me.

For me no rules where broken…..doesn’t make it right though just means he’s a wealthy enough guy that he could just hand her over the cash to make the purchase and get the mortgage sorted to avoid the tax.
Again no rule broken.
Doesn’t make it right though in my view, its a privilege of his wealth, this “man of the people”.
Not surprised he’s changing his story on this yet again. He did lie, she said “we bought it” when really what he probably should have said was “to avoid a bit of tax i gave my partner a big fat lump of cash into her account that she then used to buy a house for both of us in her name so i could avoid the tax”

So the traitorous POS lied again? What a surprise!

“You know, I spent the money to get an independent King’s council tax adviser last week to say everything that has been done is legal, but I’m not going to say anymore.”
Definitely got nothing to hide here so nothing to see, move on…

So if not him, who gave £885,000 to Farage’s girlfriend?

He uses tax strategies, which you find are really only their for the rich or the well off . They dont really work for the normal people on normal wages. It all part of the two-tier society we live in.

Who in their right minds look at this man and think “Oh yeah, now that’s a man I can follow. That’s a man who looks like he understands the problems”?
Perpetual frog faced smug cunt.

The really infuriating thing about this is that he’s not legally done anything wrong. He obviously gave her the money and she bought the house, which meant that her paying less stamp duty is legally correct. Therefore he’s technically well within his rights to tell us to jog on.
The issue is that an mp should be held to a higher standard. Sure, he can technically do this, in the same way that technically anyone can decide to kick out their tenants, list a property sale, take it off the market and re-list it for a higher rent. However, them doing this is morally and ethically wrong given their position. Hell, I’m even willing to give Angela Rayner the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t think she was doing anything wrong (but she did underpay tax, no argument around that, and she 100% should have got more advice especially seeing that this wasn’t even her first tax scandal).
As much as he can legally say he’s done no wrong, people have resigned over these kinds of things because it’s ethically wrong. It’s simply that the recent tories have made it morally acceptable to do these kinds of ethically dodgy transactions, which Nigel is now also utilising.
