Arrested for what? This is a classic suppression of protest. What next? Will they be designated as terrorists?

From what I can see, Trespass and nuisance, Advertising laws( If it’s for commercial or political messaging, you might need permission under planning regulations), harassment and defamation, public order, not sure if Windsor is classified as private property

  3. I’m so glad the government has arrested these people. Their actions would have had me deeply unsettled and worried.

Unlike what we saw over the weekend where a foreign billionaire addressed their army of far right thugs and called for violence in our streets. That had me totally not worried. Glad our government has got their priorities straight.

Arrested, but they will never be charged with an offence. They made their point, and it was great.

90k racists attack the police and it’s silence.

Some people put up a real photo of a public event? Prison.

  6. Hilarity of Trumps admin constantly complaining about the UK’s restrictions on speech and then this

Legends! If they get charged (and surely they won’t), I’d happily chip in to their legal fund.

  8. Arresting them will mean that at least ten times as many people around the world will see what they projected

Why are people so protective of this far right drivel? They obviously have neither a sense of humour or perspective. Maybe it hits too close to home? The wealthy are indelibly linked to pedophilia now.

  10. No American would do that on Whitehouse so is the stronger nation? They would be shot. Like Kirk who was shot by an en ever more horrific person.

  11. They should have absolutely been arrested, however if charged, I would expect any judge to be particularly lenient.

I wouldn’t want McDonalds or CocaCola beaming massive ads on landmarks, private or public property.

But this is a completely reasonable protest against the absurd timeline we live in. Our politicians are supposed to operate diplomatically, I wish there was more of a consensus among the rational to call out this autocratic, adjudicated rapist, convicted fraudster, grifter and exhibitionist moron.

But as the leader of the country with the largest economy and most powerful military, other world leaders bite their lip and shake his tiny hands out of fear of having their economy damaged by a stroke of the toddler’s gilded crayon.

  12. Wonder if this was anything to do with the Everyone Hates Elon group (the ones who plastered London bus stops with posters saying stuff like, “Elon Musk is a bellend. Signed, the UK”)?

They were running a fundraiser recently to “ruin Trump’s UK visit” and raised about £30,000 the last I saw. They unfurled a giant banner outside Windsor Castle on Monday, featuring the same photo (image of the banner in the link below), so this would be right on-brand for them.

reminds me a bit of how the shit flags and graffiti were conveniently ignored because they dont want to upset the far right. in this case, just subvert basic legal decency to appease a rapist president and not upset any trade deals….
