      So unbelievably awful. For two children to lose their dad over such a stupid stupid decision is something they and their family will struggle to ever come to terms with.

      I hope he spends a very long time in prison for what he’s done.

      Professional driver. Honestly…

      Should be banned for life. He got 10yrs but he will be out in 5 if he keeps his head down.

      I honestly cant even comprehend driving while scrolling twitter, tiktok etc… let alone to do it while going round a fucking roundabout, absolute cretin, make an example of him with a harsh sentence. Wtf are phones doing to our society if you cant get off it while driving.

      He pleaded guilty, so would have been given 15 years if he hadn’t. The (functional) maximum is 18 years, so the most he could have been given with a guilty plea is 12. With that in mind 10 years is about what you’d expect as a sentence.

      Been nearly killed by “professional drivers” many times. The amount of truck drivers who seem to think it’s acceptable to just flick your indicator on just immediately start moving into the next lane without checking is beyond belief. I always try to keep at least two lanes between myself and any truck and failing that will just accelerate to get past as quick as possible.

      The quality of driving among HGV drivers is just dire.
