    1. Contact your bank and say the payment was received in error and that you’re happy to reverse it. Do not TWINT the money back yourself.

So you did actually receive the money in your account via Twint and you have verified that by checking your own Twint app and online banking? As far as I‘m aware, there’s no way to recall Twin transactions once they’ve been booked. Hence, there shouldn’t be any risk for you if you just send it back. However, make sure to send it to the number that actually made the payment as shown in your own Twin app, not some other number you‘re being contacted from. If you want to be extra safe maybe contact your bank / Twint customer support first.

At least I’d wait a week or two. If the money’s still there, I’d send it back (or contact your bank). Twint transactions are generally not refundable and this is actually the recommended method to get the money back. I recently had a typo in the number I sent money to and had to ask for it back this way too. I could’ve probably also gotten it back through the bank though.

Most likely a scam. How it works is that the money was stolen from somewhere else, and when you transfer it back, the original victim will issue a chargeback, and you will lose the same amount again.
