    1. Previous post was “editorialized” by the OP and removed. So here’s just the articles.

Now for my opinion, this is the situation we get by continuing to give the power to the right of the political spectrum. People elected a right wing parliament and they have 0 interest to change anything about the health insurrance. [They love to work with them](https://lobbywatch.ch/fr/daten/lobbygruppe/2/Caisses%20maladie)

Meanwhile, they are down by 14.7% in the rent seeking canton of Zug. There is only one way to deal with it. Tax the rich and use it to fund our insurances(progressive taxation).

Otherwise one can keep directing their focus at cutting the fuding to welfare state, SBB, ETH and what not or focussing on the immigrants. This road leads to feudalism.

**Translated from the article -> “Zug is a special case:** There’s a simple reason why premiums are falling significantly in Zug: The Zug government is providing approximately CHF 220 million in relief for inpatient hospital treatments in 2026 and 2027. This means that Zug residents will be reimbursed 99 percent of their inpatient hospital costs during these two years. One percent remains with the health insurers for “procedural reasons.” The canton usually covers 55 percent of the costs.”

Socialism for the rich, rugged capitalism for everyone else. Yay!

    3. Corporate greed in everything from the insurances to the prescription drugs and treatment centers. How do you keep costs under control when it’s the goal of each company working in this sector, to grow revenue year over year?

    4. It’s interesting that Zug took such a large step to lower premiums even though before the changes it already had a relatively low average premium.

Is anyone here thinking that someone making 500k per year and someone making 50k should not pay the same amount for health insurance? 😐

    6. Ticino #1 , as always. We are utterly cooked. Costliest insurance premium, one of the weakest in term of salary. Fantastic combination.

This is not a serious suggestion and I am just actually curious. What would be the consequences if the majority of the population just refuses to pay?

    8. Why don’t they just contact our employers and make sure 100% of our salaries go to them directly? Just keep robbing us.

Problems are people running to the hospital when they have a cold.

      Easy solution:
Increase franchises: minimum 1k, max 10k
Telmed/App consultation mandatory before visiting a doctor.
      Nuissance visits incure a penalty.

Et voila; we can easily have premiums of 200 to 250.- chf / month

    10. Why is it accepted that people have different premiums depending on the Canton? It is one country, regardless of federalism.

There should be one billing for the entire country, and millionaires should not pay the same as common folk.

This should be on the basics of how to rule a country.

Do these insurance companies think people automatically get a pay raise each year to cover up the increasing costs they impose on us? This is getting ridiculous and it seems the politicians are all in on it so it must be up to the people to put a stop to this madness.

    12. This makes me mad, because it is something I never used (I’m never sick) and I will never use (I’m not gonna be here when I’m old ffs).

Increase the deductible to 1 billion, I don’t care, I have never paid a cent. Make those whom take advantage of this system pay more and the ones who never use it, less.

    13. So canton AG is +4.8% but my premium increases by +7.4% as a 34yo, why? Sholdn’t older people be above the average increase and younger people below?

    14. Lol what comments. Looking forward to get a downvote from all the experts from here 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Lucky us none of you is in charge of deciding these…

    15. And they still have the fucking balls to claim 1.1% inflation.. Switzerland is turning into the USA.
