  1. Interesting hearing Badenoch being interviewed on this – she couldn’t answer the most basic question of where these removed people will be sent.

Gotta be off your rocker to look over the pond at ICE and reckon we need a piece of that

Cool. How is BICE going to feed my kids and help pay my mortgage? Be serious.

interesting, how much did that Barge cost them that they ended up having to abandon, at the original cost of 3x a 5* cruise?

and when we talk about immigration, does Kemi realise she’s on that list too of people “they” want to deport?

and of course the deliberate crippling of the Home Office to create huge backlogs, and then to dump them in hotels at insane costs, how much was that?

  5. It’s all well and good to promise whatever nonsense pops into your head when you’re in opposition. If you’re serious about a policy, maybe try implementing it at some point during the 14 years you’re in government though, yeah?

They need to move away from immigration. They lost because of it. You can deport as many people as you like, it won’t fix any of the underlying problems

Start trying to make Britain better, improve education, healthcare and the police. Invest in green energy and bring down the high cost of living.

Although they can’t because they are the reason most of those are stuffed too.

  7. When everyone has forgotten who she is, there is a world where men will pour out of a van and detain her because of her skin colour.

She is not only hateful, but beyond dense.

Being in opposition is so easy, you’re shitting money. Where’s it coming from besides her imagination?

  9. Dismal-Pipe-6728 on

A bidding war with Reform to who can be the most radical and produce the most un-costed policies!

Trying to be a pound-shop Trump won’t help her decline into well-deserved obscurity.

  11. I must’ve seen this story 20 times in the last 2 days. They are done, can we please *finally* stop giving any more oxygen to the bloody Tories?????

  12. Now that Tories are not in power, they promise to do everything they should have done but never did while they were in government.

This is kinda pathetic. They talk big but as they already proved before they do no such actions, I am inclined to say they are lying now just to get back to power.

  13. Conservatives pledge to give £1.6bn to their donors to do nothing (see migrant barge, Rwanda plan or COVID PPE)

  14. Does that mean we get our own untrained masked lunatics patrolling our streets too? Sweet.

Digital ID, online ‘safety’ act and untrained thugs bodyslamming anyone who isnt white.

Love that for us, that’ll reduce grocery prices and the general cost of living.

  15. Kemi and Nige are like two little kids in the playground shoving each others shoulders.

“Well I’m going to stop Net Zero”

“No, I’m going to stop it and I’ll stop it better than you!”

“Well I’m going to deport people”

“No, *I’ll* deport more people than you!”

Why are we spending so much on this? Surely the solution is spend less and they won’t come. Just match the conditions of all the safe countries they passed through and it simply won’t be worth the hassle

The last pledge they made using such numbers was to reduce actual immigration to the tens of thousands, and they had 14 years to do it. Surprisingly they didn’t get close because they didn’t actually want it.

  18. Psychological-Ad1264 on

We could start by applying the British nationality act (1981) retrospectively.

This would mean that somebody whose parents flew into Britain in 1980 to give birth and get British nationality for them could be kicked out.

    That’s you Kemi.

When you pander to the far right, you forget how tenuous your claim to be British actually is.

  19. Street_Adagio_2125 on

Lmao Tories truly screwed now. Anyone sane won’t vote for them and the righties are going Reform

  20. Cultural-Lead6126 on

    Step 1 Create a problem

    Step 2 Sell a solution

14 years of them, got us where we are at.

  21. They were in power for 14 years and did nothing of worth to stop immigration but suddenly now have the answers when not in power.

They’re just trying to copy reform (who by promoting brexit via ukip in past made immigration worse).

Even just after the election they were talking about fixing the country which they themselves made worse.

  22. A couple of quotes from the BBC version of this story:

    > The party says it wanted to take inspiration from the US…

    > The Tories also plan to abolish taxpayer-funded legal aid in immigration cases, with a document on the proposals arguing there “will be no need for lawyers” because claims would be “fairly assessed against the criteria”.

“No need for lawyers” is always a good sign. It means “we know we’re going to break the law, but we don’t care.”

  23. DeadandForgoten on

Will this bring down my fuel bills?

    No.

Will it bring down interest on my mortgage?

    No.

    Will it reduce food costs?

    No.

Id care more about immigration if it was the cause of any of the problems faced by 95% of the population.

  24. “Ooh ooh ooh, I want to ride the fascist wave please” How fucking disgusting. (Hate to say this but especially from a black person)

  25. The same party that let in over 1 million people LEGALLY per year while in office, despite being voted in under an entirely different mandate.

  26. Not being funny, but how stupid is Kemi to be fanning these particular flames given her origin?

  27. I do enjoy seeing people who were directly responsible for the current situation, try to row reality back with yet more fanciful promises on how they are going to fix that which they created.

What I am not enjoying, however, is the further MAGA-isation of our politics. The insanity over there is now pervading these shores and I do not care for it.
