Yes, there were plenty of vocal antisemites here in Poland. Oddly enough, some of the same people later [actively opposed the Holocaust](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protest!). Seems like merely being antisemitic did not make them pro-genocide.
Many people didn’t get proper education about Polish-Jewish relationships before WWII. Economy is the key to understand it.
That’s an interesting read but it’s nothing out of the ordinary in Europe pre-war. In basically every country there were plenty of anti-Semites. I don’t know who said it but if you went back in time to Europe before world war 2 and told a random person that in short time there will be an effort by one country to genocide all Jews in Europe, they would probably assume you’re talking about France and not Germany. The antisemitism was so widespread that before the Nazis there really was no telling who was more anti-Semitic.
The France thing comes from a very famous “Dreyfuss affair” where a guy was convicted of being a foreign spy despite complete lack of evidence, just based on him being Jewish. And the French press was going wild with the case, openly saying that he can’t be loyal to France because of his wicked Jewishness and stuff like that lol
How many “Westerners” speak in similar tone about Chinese economy and competitiveness these days?

Any group that places it’s own interests above the interests of Poland should not have a monopoly within Poland.
Poland was not less antisemitic than UK, France or any other country. Difference was in fact that Polish government wanted to relocate jews (same like Brits or French) but not kill them (like nazis decided to do).

Isn’t this a proof that Jewish minority was living well in Poland. Flourished throughout centuries. 50% of world Jewish Population lived in eastern pre-war areas of Poland. When WWII arrived they turned their back on the country. In some cases actively helping exterminate Polish people by Nazis. In the early stages of war.
