I wanted to share a quick note about the spelling of the city. While the spelling "Pristina" is common, the official and native spelling is Prishtina (with an ‘sh’).
The use of "Pristina" stems from a historical transliteration. The name in Albanian is pronounced with an ‘sh’ sound. The Serbian spelling, Priština, uses the Latin letter ‘š,’ which makes the same ‘sh’ sound. When international organizations like the UN and ISO standardized the name, the ‘š’ was often simplified to a plain ‘s’ in languages that do not use the diacritic, resulting in the widely used Pristina.
However, since the ‘sh’ combination is a standard and accurate way to transcribe this sound in English and most other European languages, using Prishtina correctly reflects the local pronunciation and the city’s identity.
Crucially, the Municipality itself officially identifies in English as PRISHTINA. Respecting the municipality’s own choice of spelling is a matter of respecting the identity of the native Albanian population of Prishtina and Kosova.
I encourage you to use the spelling Prishtina going forward.

Prishtina, got it.
Reminds me of Ŝkoda pronounciation, which would be Shkoda in Albanian.
