Some foreign-registered vehicles were previously not identifiable at Norwegian toll stations. However, a new system now enables the identification of all EU vehicles that have not paid. Toll companies will begin collecting outstanding payments from foreigners from the past three years.

So now the toll for the mandatory detour over the Narvik bridge to get back and forth over the E10 due to the construction will finally hit me?

The hysterical thing was that I was registered to a few toll and parking systems in Norway and they all worked great. Sweden’s collection system worked so well and some tolls in Norway went over the same company a few years ago, so no clue what’s up.

  2. I mean the whole toll system in Norway is nuts, why not just have it all in one place. Took a ferry once never got a bill for it as I didn’t know you needed to register 7 days prior.
