      We just allow this channel to undermine our democracy. We have broadcasting standards and don’t enforce them.
      GB news and these people,I cannot emphasise this enough, are a literal national security threat. They are enemies of british democracy.
      If we want to save it, we need to grow a fucking spine.

      We have become consumed by American rhetoric.

      Probably doesn’t help everything we own is American. Google, apple, Netflix, Ford, coke, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Snapchat. So all the media we consume casually is generally American, reddit included.

      This spurrs on masses of miss info primarily about things like policing and cultural views.

      Dare you go to the conspiracy sub there were people a few days ago touring civil war in the UK…. They were British posters.

      The purpose of stuff like this is to scare the Americans. Portray Britain as this post-apocalyptic failed state to show “what happens” if you don’t do exactly what they tell you.

      I remember when British rightists were somewhat anti-american. Its been very interesting to see the ultranats here willingly transition from “Britain is a vassal state and puppet of Brussels and Washington. We must go it alone, no more fighting American wars etc.” to wanting to be a US territory, and importing the rhetoric and Evangelism of the States.

      The rhetoric itself has shifted in the last decade. I’ve seen so many right-leaning people end up parroting American talking points around issues. For the life of me I do not remember so many people sounding like Americans and talking about “Liberals” like Liberals here are the Dems in America.

To distract from the actual dismantling and robbing of the state, they spam into the media about how awful other supposed contemporaries are, and how we are all just begging to be introduced to their vastly superior way of life (lol)
