  1. I usually despise “<effect> after <cause>” headlines, for putting the cause last, but I’ll make an exception in this case, especially if you read “after” as “*after*” in italics, with the implication that it shouldn’t need a terrorist attack prompt.

  2. Sounds reasonable, hope they aren’t conflating Palestine and antisemitism. Many people who support a free Palestine are Jewish.

Would also like to see the same for Islamophobia given that Mosques have been attacked by arsonists in recent weeks.

  3. Real antisemitism, or disagreeing with the policies of the Israeli government?

’cause the Israeli government makes trouble for all Jews everywhere by deploying its standard line that any criticism is antisemitic. They make it seem as though antisemitism is just a buzz word, when in fact actual antisemitism (as we see in Manchester) is a very real form of hate which inspires horrible violence.

  4. What exactly does “crack down” mean, because surely they should have been already stopping anti-semitism (including other types of hate speech) with harsh punishments?

They should be questioned as to why they haven’t been doing enough, not told to just take firmer stances, because they should’ve been firm from the start.
