"the most powerful" (insert more quotes) =D However it should be a research and innovation hub in quantum computing, supported by the government and with the participation of two American companies developing commercial quantum computers (IonQ and D-Wave).

Fruit of the memorandum signed between two global giants in the sector, D-Wave and IonQ, who decided to join forces

The Q-Alliance presents itself as an open and inclusive ecosystem, in which the scientific community, the academic world and the industry will be able to carry out initiatives and projects. And above all it aims at a strong involvement of young researchers through scholarships, internships and training programs.

There are four main lines of action: strengthening scientific research and quantum infrastructures by enhancing national and European excellence and promoting synergies between universities, research centers and institutes with the support of public funding, especially that of the Pnrr; acceleration of the industrial transition with support for SMEs and startups and strategic supply chains with investments in data centers and supercomputing; training of new skills with university courses, master’s degrees and ad hoc programs; protection of national security through the migration to post-quantum encryption and the use of quantum systems for the protection of strategic data.

Maybe Italy won’t miss the quantum train? Or perhaps it will be used to support that of supercomputers, which are in a decidedly good situation in Italy.

    Sta a vedere.

Abbiamo veramente risolto i problemi connessi all’ entanglement?
