Tosun was attacked in the Esenyurt neighborhood of Istanbul on the night between 10 October and 11 October.
Istanbul Police Department announced that two suspects, aged 18 and 24, were arrested in connection with the attack.

It is stated that the security camera records of the tradesmen from that day were also confiscated/deleted by the relatives of those who carried out the attack. Relatives of the murderers were released despite suspicions of tampering with evidence.
