
Well, I often like to look at older photos of cities and I really like this one (colourised) because you can see a lot:
– there is no Keller arrangement of the Ljubljanica, so there are still green embankments
– there is no Plečnik Congress Square yet, Zvezda Park also has original chestnut trees, which Plečnik cut down shortly before the Second World War
– you can see the Ursuline garden (nun’s garden) beautifully, where Maximarket, Trg Republike and everything else are today (Ravnikarjeva Ljubljana)
– nicely shows the difference in the size of the city then and today, when Rožnik was still kilometers outside the city
