Prosecutors are treating it as an act of vandalism and abuse of power, though Braun insists it was a “parliamentary intervention.”

This follows a previous disruption of a lecture in Warsaw, where he smashed equipment on stage. Both incidents have now been merged into one criminal investigation by Warsaw prosecutors.

Justice Minister Adam Bodnar has requested a full report on the cases, as public outrage spreads beyond Poland to conservative circles in the UK and Germany.

    1. Vandalism, yes, but also littering an improper disposal of trash.

Just another act of an angry man desperately trying to stay relevant

    2. Just another calculated pr stunt for him, that will actually make him more popular, let’s face it, he won’t even be fined.

And nothing will happen because he has the immunity and no government will ever do anything about it as they want to keep it.

I wonder what these types of guys would do if somebody confronted them. Like if some liberal politician would just hold the tree and not let it go and would fight them

I like him because he:appears to do some stuff like that, disappears for a month or more due to backlash online, then repeats endlessly and its really funny to me

Are there any “conservative circles” in UK and Germany? In Germany AFD (that is often called “far-right”) has a lesbian leader, that probably would not support this demolishing, if she ever heard about it.

He is obviously a provoking a response but I have a question: why is it necessary to put LGBT decorations on a Christmas tree? Is this what we are to expect every holiday now? LGBT flags at cemeteries this coming week too? Are people going to make rainbow colored baranki for Easter? It just seems excessive . Can’t people enjoy any holidays anymore without it becoming politicised? I don’t want to be rude just pointing that out… it kind of works against that cause to hijack everything like that.

    10. Isn’t this the same dude that put out a Menorah with afore extinguisher. Dudes a real-life grinch

    11. Poland is still struggling with religious freedom against human rights, a country which has been under Russian influence during the not too distant past, and the whole right wing movement across the world at large and within the European community. Fear, loathing, scapegoating of refugees who seem to get a better deal than the original inhabitants:it’s the same even in “ enlightened nations “ like mine in the Netherlands. It’s the scariest time in the almost 5 decades since I was born. And as always: as an individual, there’s only very little one can do about it.
