What’s eating my strawberry leaves so late in the year 🍓

I planted some strawberries in the ground this summer but noticed very recently something ate all the leaves off one of the plants. Is it just slugs or is there some other insect that will do this. I was a little surprised because it’s so cold now i thought most bugs have gone dormant 🤔
