Have to hand it to them, they really know how to instill fear with this booklet. Starting from the colors, to the depiction of the jobs that most require state regulated wages and help (try being a chef).
Now to actually go and read the law text of what the hell they want to do again with wages.
Reminds me of the "min wage to live freely given to all citizens simply for existing" that we voted 15+ years ago that didn’t pass. Cause why should someone live decently just because they are swiss, right?

And It’ll work.
This is the country that voted against having more holidays.
Weak arguments like this are the best argument for the initiative.
Old swiss Bünzli won’t profit from this, so no chance.
I don‘t see this as one of the two initiatives voted on the 30th Nov?
Is this cantonal only?
Jeez, i’m against minimum wage but these are weak ass arguments.
We have min wage in Geneva. Could be a starting point to see wether it is worth it or not
Those six reasons are the ones why i vote with yes.
1. Nope not a lot will happen, besides the manager probably having a smaller margin.
2. Yeah right, “Fachkräftemangel” *wink wink*.
3. Not really an attack, and it is time to adjust the wages to the market.
4. Nope probably the opposite.
5. It strengthens it.
6. Again… not really, it has the opportunity to strengthen it due to happier workers. And it might smaller the heavily obscene amount managers get down to only an obscene amount.
The real reason is that they would have to pay more if it gets trough. Of course they don’t want that.
This will not pass in Switzerland long after it becomes the norm across europe. Too many workaholics that think they levitate above the population. Unless its 4pm Friday, suddenly everyone leaves the office apart from the underlings, how odd. 🙂
*Every single one* of these points is a flat-out lie. Insane.
(The second point could be argued, but it’s unclear how that is even a negative.)
For number 5: Yes it weakens the current status quo because the employers hold all the power. Afterwards less negotiating is needed, which is good.
All of the claims they make about the negative consequences are accurate. Every industry has unions that represent workers and they all negotiate minimum wage salaries. It works. Nationalising that system will only create problems with unintended consequences.
A lack of minimum wage opens the door to exploitation of the weaker ones and encourages a huge wage gap!
“Mindestlohn verhindert Anstellung von weniger Qualifizierten”
Ich kotz hier gleich im Strahl.
People love being gaslighted and no one has mastered the art of making voters vote against their own interests as the right has.
Well there are arguments against a federal minimum wage, you don’t need the same kind of money to live in Zurich and in Tessin. But this is shit
