This was such a preposterous, unforced error it almost feels false flaggy. I’d love to know who actually made the edit.
It’s an edit that misrepresented the raw footage on what used to be a BBC flagship program, I’m not sure how respected it is these days but it seems to be taken sufficiently seriously.
It’s not accidental and it would be laughable under other circumstances.

It’s a documentary, not the news. Are they supposed to use the whole speech in full?
The edit was a mistake sure, but this whole thing is a noisy nothing burger. The BBC are the envy of the journalistic world and let’s face it he did between incite the a lines riot, intentionally, his dead head cult followers knew exactly what he meant and carried out his wishes, if anyone thinks he wasn’t watching they’re naive and he didn’t ask them to stand down until three hours later once the damage was done. Trump was 💯 complicit and it beggars belief that he isn’t in jail right now.
I’ve said this on multiple posts about this: Why did they even need to do this at all? Donald Trump doesn’t need any help looking like a piece of shit, it’s the one thing he’s actually good at!
The BBC’s reporter, who interviewed the Chair earlier today, was certainly very unimpressed with his “apology” and made her impressions very clear on the evening news. She was certainly not “impartial”, although I agreed with her assessment!
Of course the BBC has their view on how the world should be. Their bias is always there and can be epitomised as an early-30s London-living left-leaning middle-class humanities graduate, bi-curious but wants a family, hard-working but naps between WFH meetings. It is the world through this archetypal person.
Until it was called out on Social Media and they had to back down, the Labour party were assembling a task force of volunteers to aid Harris’ campaign. Now with the BBC doing this, the optics look bad for the UK interfering with the US election.
with dozens of more egregious examples of blatant BBC bias in recent years (e.g, Corbyn, Israel etc.) I just can’t believe it’s this relatively minor own goal that has cost the heads of the top brass.
Two people have lost their jobs.
It needs to be finished now.
Any more pandering is exactly that, pandering. Which ironically is also going to end up with the bbc having an agenda…almost as if this is the whole point.
