  1. Bit of a publicity own goal for Ryanair, but to be fair it’s in their T&Cs, so it’s not really “sad and childish”, but “standard business practice”.

Ryanair will probably meme this in a week

It’s in their T&Cs and I guess they don’t want to set a precedent

If people find out they can get a Ryanair refund from being stabbed during an act of heroism there’ll be a lot more pre-holiday-jitter-clad vigilantes roaming the streets

Okay this is getting ridiculous now. This dude got over £59,000 raised for him from the members of the public including his football club. Yet, he is still out here trying to get £100 refund and won’t let it go ? Like for real ? 😧

  4. Ryanair never deviates from their Ts&Cs. A brand built on customer experience would be concerned about customer perception but Ryanair’s brand is built on low prices not experience.

Customers know they’ll get a bare bones experience but that they’ll pay a low price when they book with Ryanair. That being the case, it’s not in Ryanair’s interest to start offering refunds or anything else that increases their operating costs when they don’t need to.

  5. Lot of ackshually folk in here who are devoid of empathy and seem to be defending a dumb ass decision and for what? lol

No shit it’s in the T&Cs but, believe it or not, some humanity is really worth it, and if RyanAir were actually clever they’d take take the literally inconsequential hit for a PR boost worth far more.

It’s not going to set a precedent for people to get themselves in danger lmao and if somehow, and I hope it never does, something so major happened again, hell yeah they should refund.

Sorry but don’t fly with Ryanair or don’t complain when they treat you like garbage, it’s part of the deal. I will never ever fly with them, saving a few £ is not worth it in the long run.
