Northern Lights set to dazzle UK this week due to possible ‘Severe’ geomagnetic storm

Should be comparable to the May ’24 event in that it is a series of CMEs impacting us in a short period of time (a couple of them may even catch up to one another 🤞), not sure the storming will be quite as intense though. There are some obvious differences but fingers crossed for another amazing aurora chase at mid latitudes.

And before people start hearing about this on TikTok and YouTube: no there is no danger to our power grid or our every day telecommunications. There’s no reason to feel anxious about this. Just go enjoy a very rare light show.
