This has been a problem for decades, but no one seems to actually care. I remember reading a news story 5 years ago talking about how fertility in Swiss men was tanking, and that news story was already old when I found it.
FWIW, my Swiss husband has hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism. It means his brain isn’t sending out enough hormones to trigger proper testosterone levels and as a result, proper spermatogenesis. They don’t know the cause of it. But, he’s definitely part of that statistic.
This is a western world thing though no? It’s maybe due to microplastics and other pollutants in the environment I thought?
Probably because they won’t like the answers…
