Absolutely the correct response.
Apologise for the corporation’s action, but no compensation is due, since he has suffered no loss as a result.

I think one of the only reasons he put such a high price on it (besides being a greedy orange cunt) is that it was announced that Elon was nearly a trillionaire. He got jealous, had a toddler strop and wanted what he had.

Good. Apology is right, it was bad editing. Don’t need to edit Trump to make him sound deranged/stupid/like a cunt. But how has his reputation been damaged? He’s the President of the most powerful country on earth ffs. Also he doesn’t need the money anyway. Not like he’s lost out on anything because of it.
And he still said those things. Sure it was 50-odd minutes apart, but he still riled his supporters, made them think the election was stolen and knew (or ought to have known) what kind of people had turned up (tin pot toy soldier/militia men). They still went and stormed the Capitol, chanted “hang Mike Pence” and a couple of people died.
