  1. $3.99 for jammy dodgers! they are like 70p ($0.91) here! Even with shipping them over there what a rip off.

  2. Honestly fair game. Prices aside, I wouldn’t blink to see this at a newsagent. Kinda baffling that someone would pay so much for such basic stuff though…

Watched a competition once where people tried to eat as many Jacobs crackers as they could without drinking anything. I think the winner ate 6 before the crackers just became saw dust

  4. Assuming the Irn Bru is not the original kind as I think certain flavourings are banned in America.

  5. Dear Yanks, the Salad Cream is perfect on a Cheddar cheese and Crisp (potato chip) sandwich. Try the Lemon curb on buttered toast. Look for Kerrygold, Anchor or Lurpak. None of your American rubbish.

Tim Tam’s are an Australian variant of Penguin bars. I don’t mind them tbh. God only knows what a Violet Crunch is. It’s not from the UK or Ireland.

You need an Irish section too with proper sausages, black and white pudding, rashers of back bacon, soda bread, potato farls, Cidona and red Lemonade, Kimberley biscuits.

  6. I’m always happy when I can find Yorkshire Tea states-side. If it’s Yorkshire Gold, all the better.

  7. Sharwoods jars are a bit weird. They’re not bad if you want a cheaper curry, but there’s no way I’d be living abroad thinking “man I could go a Sharwoods right now”. I’d want an actual Indian Restaurant curry.

  8. Our local supermarket (Morrisons) has an entire rack of American foods.

7 out of 8 shelves are full of different varieties of Reese’s Pieces.

  9. Other than the Tim Tams pretty solid selection, fingers, jammy dodgers, Sharwoods sauces, Maltesers, Heinz baked beans, Marmite, Robisons squash, PG Tips, Yorkshire Tea, Foxes Glacier Mints. Decent.

  10. I love Fry’s Turkish Delight (the small purple square thing almost in the centre of the photo). Must nicer than actual Turkish delight. 😂

Not too bad but what’s with the Tim Tams?! They’re not even British and they take up over half a shelf. They need replacing with custard creams, teacakes, and Tunnocks caramel wafers.

  12. Twelve bucks for Yorkshire Tea?!

As we say in Yorkshire, ow mooch?!

Would probably still pay, tho 😉

A list of things that will improve this section…

    – Tunnocks Caramel Wafer

    That is all.

Bounty, Turkish Delight and Crunchie are my faves. I hadn’t seen Tim Tams in the UK before in my area but they were huge in Melbourne Australia when I was there

  15. Looks exactly like the British section in our stores here in Australia.

Tim Tams are usually in the biscuits isle though.
