If it makes you feel worse there used to be forests in malta but that was before even the knights of Saint John arrived.

We need to be honest with ourselves. We live in a country that is more south then some places in north africa and with global warming we are shifting to an arid ecosystem. We need to adjust to our enivornment. Eco friendly doesnt mean green washing and trying to make an arid equatorial rock to look like norway.

To be fair, the last time that trees must have existed in large concentrations on this island must have been before the first man started landing here. That must have been a magnificent experience … travelling East and encountering Sicily or Malta for the first time, land where no man ever set foot before you.
