What will the spacecraft do? Is it just a heavy static asset for testing or is it functional?

The observations should shed light on the processes behind the escaping Martian atmosphere, helping to explain how the planet went from wet and warm to dry and dusty. Scientists will also study how best to protect astronauts against Mars’s harsh radiation environment.”
And they landed the massive first stage successfully on just the second attempt!! So cool to live in a world where two and soon three companies are doing that!!
Will New Glenn get a reusable Stage 2?
This is a really big deal. Guarantee SpaceX had some emergency calls for PR and spaceship over it.
